BUSY WEEKEND!

This was a busy weekend for us! On Friday, we worked in the yard most of the day. I seriously think it had been two months since Michael mowed. It wasn't too out of control because we have barely had any rain! I worked on weeding the flowerbeds. It looks so much better now! Then on Friday night we went out with some good friends to dinner and to see "Creation Chronicles" which was a play about creation...it was really, really, really good. Saturday I planned our meal menu for the entire month of September! I made a master grocery list and then went to Sam's Club to buy all of my meat and other things that are a good buy from Sam's for the month. Then I went to the grocery store to get the other items I need for the week. Then I came home and repackaged all of the meat according to meals...I even cooked all of the chicken that needed to be precooked before using it in a recipe!!! I'm so excited about all of this! I hope it saves us time and money! It is so nice knowing what to cook/prepare for the day! Today is ham, tomorrow I'm using the ham bone to make bean soup, and the Thursday we are have Chicken Cordon Blue using some more of the leftover ham! :) Throughout the day on Sat. we watched tons of College Football...this is my favorite time of the year! We were very upset about Michigan losing to Appalachian State...ha ha! Just kidding...we were ecstatic!!! :) Sunday we had church as usual, then our weekly family nap time, then we went over to some friends' house for dinner and games!

Last but not least, yesterday (Labor Day) we took the boys to Lake Michigan. It was so much fun and the weather was PERFECT! We couldn't have asked for a better day! They both played their little hearts out and were such good boys! Noah loved the sand...he probably consumed about 6 lbs of it! It was a great day and a great weekend! Here are some pictures from yesterday....

So I just got around to reading more of your blog. I laughed until I cried at the comment about Michigan losing. Only someone who knows you and knows how you talk can truly get that comment. Love you, Kelly
