Brrrrr....

Wow, it is cold. The high for today is 5. That's right FIVE degrees.

Our power went out around 2:00 am this morning. I heard the carbon monoxide detector beeping off and on, so I got up and unplugged it. Isaac got me up at 3:30 to eat, and the house was down to 63. It was pitch black, so that made for an interesting middle of the night diaper change. I felt so bad because it was so cold. I had Isaac swaddled, then a fleece blanket over him and an afghan over him, too! Then I went in the boys room and put extra blankets on top of them as well. By the time we got up this morning, the house was 58 and by the time I left for church, it was 55. The electric company said it should be back on by noon....I sure do hope so! Otherwise, I might stay at church all day! I hope my cats don't get into the tubs of food on the back porch....I didn't know where else to put it!

You poor guys!! Sounds miserable. I hope your power is back on now. :)

It is funny to read your post about not having power knowing you must be writing from the church?
Loved the updates about the boys. Isn't it amazing how little milestones like that make them seem so grown up? They are fun, bright boys! Now that you have some freedom, when can we go get a coffee?

You should put the cats in a cardboard box filled with blankets when it gets cold!
