Katie....

Michael and I were in WI last week for Katie's funeral. That entire experience was the absolute hardest time in my life. I have never been so sad in my life. I have never had my heart hurt so much. I have never cried as hard as I did. I never want to experience anything like that ever again.

We had the viewing on Sunday afternoon. There were so many people that came.... The family was able to view Katie and say our goodbyes. She looked good, but honestly more like an empty shell. I know that she wasn't in that room, just her body. It was so emotional...and so hard. I ache for Bruce and Kelsey and Michael and Daniel...

The funeral was Monday morning, and again, the place was packed. It was neat to see how many people Katie had affected. The pastor did a great job. After the funeral, Jersey's (bar and grill that Kelsey works at) opened up and provided all of the food for a luncheon. What a generous gift.

I'm sorry, but I'm honestly at a loss for words to type....I just ask that ya'll keep Bruce and Kelsey and the rest of the family in your prayers.

Here are a few photos. The first one is the tree that the car hit. The second is the marquee at Applebee's where Katie worked....
