Bubble Wrap, Anyone!?

I think I need a nice, large stash of bubble wrap to protect our sweet little Noah!  The poor kid is always hurting something!  Tuesday night was his THIRD trip to the ER...take in mind that he is not even three yet!!!!  Click here if you want a recap of his FIRST and SECOND emergency room visit!

Here's the short version of what happened...  He was giving his buddy Breckan a hug goodnight and somehow the two of them fell and Noah's head hit the fireplace on the way down.  He was crying more than the usual whimper after a Noah-injury, so I picked him up.  I went to rub his head because I knew he hit it and I just felt wetness.  I remember thinking that his bath was not that recent and his hair should have been dry.  So I looked up and Courtney had this horrified look on her face!  I said, "There's blood, isn't there?"  And she just shook her head.  So I rushed him into the kitchen and Kristin followed me in there.  I could feel and smell the blood, and that just didn't sit well with me!  So I let Kristin's motherly instinct kick in and she instantly started dealing with him.  His head was bleeding a ton...I had always heard that head injuries bleed a lot, but man, this was crazy!  Kristin couldn't stop the bleeding and couldn't see where the blood was coming from.  So we called our ped. and she had me bring him over to her house so she could see it.  She was able to see where the blood was coming from and told us that he needed to be seen.  We headed to the hospital (after stopping by the house to get his shoes/coat...) and he was seen instantly.  The bleeding had stopped a bit, and the Dr. decided to use Dermabond instead of stitches.  :)  Noah was great during all of this....tired and wanting to go to bed, but a great little trooper!!!!  He now has Dermabond on his little hair, and it isn't the prettiest repair job, but definitely the most painless repair!

I tried to get him to slow down long enough to get a good picture of his injury, but you know how Noah is...always on the go!!!!  I think the pictures make it look worse than it really is.  His hair is matted and caught in the dermabond, along with some dried up blood.  The actual injury is more like a puncture wound.  The last picture is my attempt to get him looking at me and smiling...nice, huh!?!?!

Poor lamb. Aunt Lee will hold you while your Mama administers the bubble wrap. We love you Noah. :(

You could put him in a big snowsuit like the little boy in "A Christmas Story"! I can picture Noah waddling around bundled up so much that he can't even put his arms down. Seriously,I am glad that he is ok.
