Ten Years Ago Today...

On February 12, 1999, I drove home for the weekend, excited for a fun date with Michael...  Well, it was more than just an ordinary was *the* date that changed my life.  Here is the story...

That didn't turn out quite like I wanted it to!  I hope you can strain your eyes enough to read our incredible proposal story.  Michael gets an A+++ for the night and memories!!!

Now here are some photos from the night.  After the proposal, we headed back to my parents house to an engagement party that I knew nothing about!!!  It was so fun!!!!

At the party...before I changed to get comfy!  Those of you who know me know that I don't stay dressed up for long!

Showing off my ring to my soon-to-be maid of honor, Jennifer!!!

The next morning Michael and I went up to the church to clean up and take a few pictures!  It was so pretty!  Funny thing...I still have and still WEAR that shirt!!!  Just hung it up in my closet this morning!

Michael's turn to pose!

Here is a copy of our engagement announcement!

The next two pictures aren't from the night we got engaged, but while searching for all of those, I found these and really liked them!!!  The first one is at the candlelight service from Michael's college graduation.  This was the night I first met his dad, and the day I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease.  It's funny how I remember things based on what I was wearing!

And this was the day I graduated from A&M!

Michael, thank you for following your heart and knowing mine ten years ago.  I remember that night like it was just yesterday.  You have made me the happiest girl around for ten years and I love you more and more every day!  You are amazing and I am so blessed to be your bride!

Oh my gosh. What memories to share with your kids. This was beautiful, Mandy, and I was there....well not for all of it, but most of it. As far as the comment on facial hair...we've seen hair all over his face and sometimes absent from his head. What I'm sure your parents remember is that he proposed in February and the date was set for a July wedding. All those caladiums had to be grown. :) It was all beautiful and I couldn't ask for a more beautiful daughter in law both inside and out. I am blessed and so are Michael and the boys.
