Merry Christmas to All

Christmas is a magical time of year for all…but especially for kids!  We love to lavish our sweet treasures with memories and gifts to celebrate the season.  With that, I guarantee that each of our sweet ones can tell you the real reason for the season.  That the birth of our Savior, over two thousand years ago, is the reason we celebrate.  The reason we give and receive gifts.  The reason we decorate.  The reason we are so intentional to be with the ones we love.

Christmas Eve.  Church.  Pajamas.  Games.  Giordano's Pizza delivered from Chicago. The Grinch. Christmas MadLibs.  Laughter.  Love.  Cuddles. Fun.

Christmas Day.  Monkey Bread. Scavenger Hunt created by Noah. Gifts! Gifts! Gifts! Stockings. Clean up. Zuppa Toscana Soup. Granny's Chocolate Chip Cookies…made to perfection…just like hers. Enjoy each other.  Enjoy new gifts. Enjoy the day. Friends. Taboo. Delicious Dinner.  More cookies. More laughter. More fun. More love.

Let's talk about Noah's scavenger hunt.  His heart is huge.  He loves to bless people.  Weeks ago he created cards for each of us. Then he decided he wanted to give them to us in a special way.  So he created this hunt.  He made ten clues for each sibling.  He hid them accordingly.  Explained the instructions. Helped his sister.  And they all LOVED it.

When the hunt was over, each of us had a hand-made, precious card from this boy who has a HUGE heart.  Huge. His ability to encourage others is a gift.

His words will be treasured in our hearts for a long time.  His time to do this for us.  Not only did he encourage us, he added a picture that he loves of each of us to our card. And a bracelet.  Made in Christmas colors...

He even made one for Ruff.

My tribe.  So blessed.  And I've said this a million times….but I'll say it again.  I LOVE that they truly LOVE each other.

And a few more pictures of our day...

Merry Christmas to all of you!!!  Love, The Fernihoughs
